208GTi has a similar but now the same as DS3R engine, the later only has Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on the intake side, while the THP200 on your GTi has VVT on both intake and exhaust cams.
Timing Chain slip is more rare on your type of engine, but it still happens, and I would check that first, as when it does the car feels sluggish and not par with performance it has.

But since you say you had only 1 bar (14.5psi) on dyno, I suspect you have a small boost leak somewhere, from what I know the stock boost level is 1.1 bar (16psi)... Did you pressure test the intake system?
Hi Albish, thx for your answer...
no i did not test it but i notice that i have small movement on rod on wastegate.
anyway i will change the timing chain and all other components, with spark plugs because i want to keep the car...
i have torque app (full version) and basf obd adapter, can i test it with that?
    thx again

    thp200 power loss

    Hi to all,
i am a new mate here, my english is not so good so i apologize...
    25 days ago i bought a 208 gti,THP 200, 2014 with 115k, the car is regularly maintained (the same engine as in DS3 R).

When i tryed the car for the first time i become a suspicious about the amount of HP, but the peugeot service sayed that everything is ok with a car, so I bought it.

In the few past days I have tried other small sports cars like Corsa OPC and Ibiza Cupra and I notice that they are much stronger then my car (192/180hp), even if they are "weaker" on the paper then 208gti, so i started with detailed search about my problem called "power loss".

before the dyno test i performed:
    - engine decarbonisation,
    - injector cleaning with tunap aditiv.

went to dyno and i got only 160hp with 1bar...

last night i change the solenoid on diverter valve, i put the new one from VW GTI ( https://www.etuners.gr/fit-vag-blowo...otcitroenmini/ ), and nothing.
on highway the car is going fine, i hit the 220kmph withount any problem, the engine works fine and i do not have any type of problem or notification like engine light or sometnig like that...

so my next steps in solving this problem are:
    - bringing oem intercooler on the front (as forge/airtec),
    - put a new timing chain with accompanying elements...

I hope that will fix the problem...
please advice, best regards Ervin, Bosnia...

once again, i apologize, i know this is the citroen forum but i hope that i will get the help in solving my problem. thx
Working...
